The Columbus Rapids hosted their second press conference today and announced three major additions to the Rapids organization. The Rapids announced that they found their coaches for the 2021-2022 NISL season, with Eddie Miranda becoming the head coach of the Rapids Men’s Team and Miguel Galind0 taking over as the head coach of the Rapids Women’s Team.

Randall Bruegge, the owner of Boogs Cards, which recently became the official jersey sponsor for the Rapids, has become a part-owner of the Rapids.

Galindo moved to Columbus last July and has been working as a volunteer with the Columbus State University Women’s Soccer Team.

For Miranda, he is from Columbus and moved back to his hometown in 2018 to work with the Columbus Futbol Club and coach for CFC Red Star.

Galindo and Miranda will now look ahead to December when the inaugural NISL season is set to begin. There will be more announcements in the coming weeks regarding tryouts and the schedule for the season.
